Thanks To Our Readers We Are Moving Up The Technorati Rankings

For about as long as I have been blogging (that's been a LONG TIME), the gold standard for ranking blogs has been Technorati, who follows, ranks and tracks blogs that count up to the millions...that is a lot of blogs.  Thanks to our loyal followers, thanks to our visitors that stop by on a very regular basis from all around the world, our little blog here in Mountaindale in it's first two months (less than) has just moved under the number 6000...out of over one million!

5902. Mountaindale After Dark http://mountaindalesoapbox.blogspot.com/

A very special thank you to everyone who helps to make this possible, to everyone who helped us move up some 46 spaces.  Wondering what is next on Mountaindale After Dark?  Later today look for my Mother's Christmas Morning Coffee Cake recipes...a family tradition in my house for over half a century now.  For now, have to head down to our little hamlet's laundry room and swap laundry over into the dryers...do wish at times we had washer/dryer hookups in our apartments, as it would make life so much simpler.

Have a GREAT DAY everyone.

A Deeper Level of Stress Reduction with N.A.T. Sunday, November 20 from 3-6 pm

What is the Neuro-Auricular Training (or N.A.T.)?

A simple protocol to inhibit the trauma/panic response of the brain, which dramatically reduces stress and can positively affect nearly all systems of the body.

Five Therapeutic-grade Essential Oils, when applied with a specific protocol on a specific area at the base of the skull, can have a profound effect, often causing vast changes in various conditions. Panic disorder, anxiety, sleep disorders, inflammation, ADD/ADHD, anxiety and depression have been known to be relieved.

N.A.T is a simple, effective technique that can reduce significantly the stress response of the brain, and in turn, the inflammatory process, possibly the cause of many chronic disorders. N.A.T has been known to help regulate the nerve impulses involved with sugar-regulation, blood pressure, and even some stages of Alzheimer’s.

N.A.T may interrupt most stress-induced fear circuitry disorders, especially important for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Panic Disorder.

N.A.T affects both the Locus Ceruleus, deep within the brain stem, and the Vagus nerve at the base of the brain, which impacts all digestive organs, lungs, heart, eyes, ears, nose and the endocrine system. This technique also stimulates circulation of the cerebral-spinal fluid and lymphatic system. Participants share that the effect of receiving a treatment is profound relaxation (with the ability to still drive home.) When treatments are received regularly, certain disorders may be positively affected. Please see testimonial below.

What You Can Expect to Learn in this Hands-On Training:
  • Understand N.A.T.'s purpose and function
  • Learn how to give the basic N.A.T technique for stress-reduction
  • Receive a healing session in this technique yourself
  • In addition, you'll learn a variation of the N.A.T. technique for the reduction of depression

In addition, learn what additional oils Gary Young, creator of N.A.T., has used to successfully treat Parkinson's Disease.

Only Young Living Oils will be used in this class.

Brenda has helped pet owners solve emotional, physical and behavioral dilemmas and helped many people to better understand and resolve the passing of a beloved animal companion.

"Loving our animal companions as much as we do, we are always naturally looking for ways to make sure they are happy. What isn't nearly as well-known is that our animal companions have as much love for us as we do for them, and they too want to do everything they can to help us be happy. We can be open to messages and practical advice from them if we don't relegate them to just being a "cute puppy" or a "sweet kitten" for example."--Brenda Seldin
Brenda Seldin of Pets Communicate has worked as an Animal Rehabilitator in New York City for many years, rehabilitating over 5,000 animals. Night Life Abounds When The Gate Keeper is Out

11.11.11 Night life in Mountaindale is alive and well on this Friday night with the Gate Keeper not around.

At Radiant Yoga, Janet has it going on with a wicked cool healing bowl concert going on as this post is written.

The Mountaindale Inn has a good crowd as Tommy celebrates his 22 birthday...Happy Birthday DUDE...even if you did beat me in a close game of 501...yes, Ed has electronic darts. Special of the night in honor of Tommy's birthday..."Irish Car Bombs" for just nine dollars.

Uccelli Restaurant, Mountaindale's newest (and only) full service restaurant played to a nice group of folks, a good night assured when a table of eight sat down for dinner at 5:30...it was all hands on deck from that point on, and Star did her usual sterling job of keeping everyone happy and well fed as Chef Robert was kept busy in the kitchen.

Noticeable by the darkness of the office fronts was 51 Main Street.

May 22 Radiant Yoga Essential Oils Seminar HUGE SUCCESS

Last Sunday May 22, Radiant Yoga played host to Nandini Weitzman, a NY State licensed Clinical Nutritionist and Alternative Health Practitioner as she gave participants in her workshop some hands on experience in NAT (Neuro-Auricular Traning with Therapeutic Essential Oils). She shared the simple and safe techniques used for deep relaxation that many alternative medicine practitioners are using for panic, anxiety, sleep disorders. depression, inflammation, and even ADD/ADHD.

The workshop began with an information session, during which Nandini explained the techniques; identified the five essential oils; as well as the process of applying them with light pressure along the occipital (cranial) ridge, neck and shoulders to safely affect brain-related nerves deeply to positively impact digestive organs, lungs, heart, eyes, ears, nose and the endocrine system. The talk was both extensive, and informative, and the end of class handouts to take home were very welcome by all in attendance. Once this section of the seminar was over, she gave the class a demonstration of the oils and techniques and answered numerous questions from the audience.

At the conclusion of this part of the seminar, the participants were paired up in groups, with EVERYONE actually getting to both give and receive a Therapeutic Essential Oils treatment. This hands on exchange of treatments allowed the students to learn the techniques, experience the benefits, while at the same time reinforcing the afternoons lessons through actual hands on practice of what they had been taught.

If your group is interested in arranging a seminar you can contact Nandini directly via her email which is nandiniyes@hotmail.com or give her a ring at (845) 434-2408.

Janet at Radiant Yoga here in Mountaindale New York is to be commended for once again bringing a wonderful holistic opportunity to our community of Mountaindale and its surrounding area. If you would like to know more about her Yoga Classes, and other seminars, or are interested in having her design a special class for your group or organization, sure she would love to hear from you.

Our Sleepy Little Hamlet of Mountaindale...Tried Finding Parking On a Monday Night?

Mountaindale, NY...a tiny quiet hamlet nestled into the corner of Sullivan county, a community rich in history but almost past by once the railroad left town...uhhh...NOT EXACTLY. Have you tried finding a parking space on a Monday or Wednesday night? Stop by and say hello, take part in our hamlets wealth of activities. On Monday and Wednesday, there is Yoga, Karate and Zumba keeping Main Street hopping, and starting in May, look for Belly Dancing to return to town as our season camping quests, and summer residents return from their winter retreats.

It is looking better and better at having a new place to eat in town, and as soon as that news is OFFICIAL, look for an announcement here on our news blog. Also coming to town...Second Time Around Studio/Gallery at 60 Main Street...look for activity as soon as the delicious Girl Scout cookie center leaves town...speaking of Girl Scout cookies, have you gotten your order in through your local Girl Scout?
